Michael Levy
President & Founder
Michael has 35 years of experience providing specialized equine and farm insurance solutions for sophisticated ownership groups and equine operations of all kinds. After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, he founded Muirfield Insurance in 1991. His industry standing is reflected in service on the boards of TOBA, Breeders' Cup Limited, and the American Graded Stakes Committee. Michael and his wife Meg also own and operate Bluewater Farm and Bluewater Sales, giving him firsthand perspective as both an active owner and an insurer, providing a dual vantage point that shapes how he evaluates risk for clients who run their operations the same way he runs his own.

Emily Estill
Chief Financial Officer
Emily oversees the full financial operations of Muirfield Insurance, managing cash flow,budgeting, carrier premium reconciliation, and agency-wide accounts payable andreceivable.
She has held this role since 2011, giving the agency 15 years of continuity inits financial management and making her the direct point of contact for any billing orpayment question. Emily holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Kentucky.

Bryce Burton
Chief Operating Officer
Bryce runs the day-to-day operations of Muirfield Insurance, overseeing staff, driving new business development, and managing the agency's internal processes and workflows. He has been with Muirfield since 2014 and has steadily taken on full operational leadership of the agency over the past several years.
As the primary contact for all new Full Mortality, Property, & Casualty exposures, he is also directly accessible to new and existing clients. Bryce holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from Transylvania University.

Julie Moses
Senior Insurance Advisor - Equine & Farm
Julie brings more than 20 years of equine insurance experience to Muirfield, where she has worked since 2021. Before joining the agency, she held roles with USEF and the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute and served for many years as aboard member of the KHJA.
Originally from New Orleans, Julie has competed inHunter/Jumpers since the early 1990s and continues to show her own horse in the amateur hunter divisions.

Del Pearson
Senior Insurance Advisor
Del was born and raised in Washington State and earned his degree from the University of Puget Sound. From an early age, he developed a passion for the Thoroughbred industry, becoming actively involved in racing, breeding, raising, and sellingThoroughbreds.
With more than 30 years of experience specializing in farm and mortality insurance, Del brings extensive industry knowledge and expertise to his clients, providing trusted guidance and personalized insurance solutions.

Ian Jones
Client Operations/Agent
Ian manages account servicing, policy tracking, and the operational technology that keeps Muirfield's equine accounts running smoothly. He joined the agency in 2021 after six years in the military, where he developed the management discipline he now applies to client account operations.
A Youngstown, Ohio native, Ian, relocated to Kentucky and has since made the state his home.

Jessica Bowers
Client Services Associate
Jessica joined the Muirfield team in late 2022. She moved to Kentucky 11 years ago for college, horses, and has since decided to make Lexington home. Jessica now holds herBachelors degree in Biology from Eastern Kentucky University and has built a strong foundation working in customer service and as a veterinary technician.
Her work history and personal equine experience with both riding and farm work help her to support and understand the needs of our clients.

Katie Hagerty
Client Services Associate
Katie brings more than five years of hands-on experience managing competition horses to her work with Muirfield's clients, giving her practical barn and horse-management knowledge that translates directly to understanding coverage needs. She joined the Muirfield team in 2025.
A lifelong horsewoman and Kentucky native, Katie combines real equine experience with a customer service background that clients find easy to work with.

Fiona Von Hartleben
Client Services Associate
Fiona joined Muirfield in 2026 after graduating from the University of Kentucky's Gatton College of Business and Economics with a degree in Finance. Her academic background sharpens how she approaches client accounts and coverage details.
Fiona also brings competitive experience in the hunter/jumper circuit, pairing her business training with real knowledge of the equine world. Originally from Pennsylvania, she brought that background with her when she relocated to Kentucky.
